Privacy & how Playworthy works

What we import

When you sign in with Steam, we read your public profile and, if your library is visible, your owned games and playtime. We identify you by SteamID through Steam OpenID, and never see your password.

Why we import it

Playtime and ownership are how the engine infers your taste. That's the only reason we store them.

How recommendations are generated

A deterministic engine ranks real games from your taste profile. AI only writes each card's explanation. It never picks games, and every factual claim comes from our database.

Affiliate links

Some stores (Humble, Fanatical) pay a small commission on purchases through their links. It never affects your picks: the affiliate lookup happens after ranking is final, and the Steam link is always shown first.

Retention & your controls

Raw Steam profile JSON is kept 30 days, then discarded. We keep your recent recommendation runs and feedback, since they improve future picks. Export or delete your data anytime; deletion is one transaction, and backups age out within 30 days.
